Life at the Hover Community
The Hover Manor Library features hundreds of books, videos, magazines and jigsaw puzzles for residents to enjoy. The library is operated by Hover Manor resident volunteers who take care of updating the inventory, disposing of obsolete items and keeping the area neat, tidy and easily accessible.

Friendly volunteers are always ready to answer questions and update residents as to activities and events at the Hover Manor Hospitality Center. Residents can find information regarding trips, special programs and events as well as requests for maintenance and transportation service at the Hospitality Center. Volunteers also sell greeting cards, postage stamps and make change as a convenient option for busy residents. The resident newsletter "Hover Happenings" including a calendar of events is available at the Hospitality Center.

All residents of the Hover Community receive a complimentary membership to the Longmont United Hospital's PrestigePLUS Senior Wellness Program. Services include health and wellness counseling, clinics and preventive screenings, wellness activities and educational programs, support groups, plus special discounts on certain classes and therapeutic services. Clinics are held at Hover Manor and throughout the community.

Quality, affordable and professional service is available at two full-service beauty salons within the Hover Community. One salon is located at Hover Manor and the other at Beatrice Hover Assisted Living Residence.

The Hover Community offers many areas to sit and socialize with friends and neighbors.

A centrally located coffee bar is always a favorite place to visit with neighbors over a delicious cup of freshly ground and brewed coffee while enjoying the scenic Colorado landscape in a comfortable and sunny spot.

Hover Manor residents enjoy a variety of dining options in the Sylvan Café. These beautiful murals were commissioned by the Hover Community to depict various eras of Sylvan Suppers that were hosted by Catherine Hover at the Hoverhome.

The Hover family was also famous for the beautiful yellow roses that surround the property. This Harrison's Yellow Rose has a significance very much associated with America, many ideals of pioneering, finding of freedom, accepting of personal responsibility, and a willingness to repeatedly share this with others. There is a certain level of warmth often conferred, as those associated with this rose have gradually come to share some of their loving energies with people, thus encouraging people to find a way of being clear in their communications with each other. This symbolism is reflected in the name of the room where residents can visit, entertain and participate in a wide variety of functions – The Yellow Rose Room.

Residents of the Hover Community also enjoy a variety of entertainment options ranging from monthly birthday parties and Happy Hours to holiday celebrations and sing-a-longs. Resident involvement and interaction is an important part of life within the Hover Community.

Outings such as the Hover Manor resident breakfast offer opportunities for residents and staff to share their lives and enjoy each other's company.

Each of the four neighborhoods at Beatrice Hover Assisted Living Residence showcases a day room with a different theme or activity area. Playing pool is a favorite past time in one neighborhood. Computers and lessons from SeniorNet are available in another neighborhood. A music room and a television room round out the entertainment options.
